An Award-Winning Law Firm Serving Travis County and Beyond

Carroll Troberman, PLLC was founded to offer clients something different from the “big-box” law firm experience.

At Carroll Troberman, PLLC, we built our firm on the belief that clients deserve more than sharp legal skills; they deserve lawyers and staff who genuinely care. From the first phone call to the final outcome, we know that our clients should feel respected, listened to, and understood. We don’t talk down to people, and we don’t treat cases like transactions.

Our team has been with us for years because they share the same values we do. They stay because they’re invested in our clients and believe in the work we do. That consistency matters, especially when clients are facing the hardest moments of their lives. Our clients say we are the best attorneys in Austin for a reason: we bring decades of courtroom experience, but we never lose sight of the human being at the center of every case. What you go through is personal to us, and we fight like it.

R. Blair Carroll

Founding Attorney

I’m Blair Carroll, and for nearly two decades I’ve stood beside people facing some of life’s most stressful moments. Whether it’s a divorce, a custody fight, or a criminal charge, my role is to steady the storm: take the weight off your shoulders, lay out a clear plan, and fight for the best possible outcome.

“A truly respectable man of law and I recommend him to anyone in need of an attorney for any criminal matter.”
– Chris C.

I began my career in Dallas working under nationally recognized DWI attorney Mimi Coffey, managing a heavy caseload dedicated exclusively to defending clients accused of DWI. In 2007, I moved to Austin, where I expanded into broader criminal defense across Central Texas, representing people in cases ranging from drug possession to murder. Over time, my own custody battle shifted my perspective and pulled me toward family law. Having lived through it myself, I know what’s at stake for parents, and I use that experience to connect with clients and advocate for them with both empathy and resolve.

My approach is straightforward: build strong relationships with prosecutors, judges, and opposing counsel so I can negotiate effectively, but be ready to flip the switch and fight aggressively when it matters most. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and my law degree from St. Mary’s School of Law. Along the way, I’ve been honored to be named a Super Lawyer for five consecutive years and selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Beyond the courtroom, I’m a husband, a proud dad, and a lifelong Texan. At the end of the day, awards and accolades don’t matter as much as this: clients walking into my office overwhelmed, and walking out knowing they have someone in their corner who won’t back down.
