A Former Prosecutor Who Uses Her Knowledge to Help You
Shelly Troberman-Miller is a Founding Partner at the Carroll Troberman, PLLC. She represents clients across the state of Texas in a wide variety of criminal defense and administrative matters including DWI, domestic violence, sexual assault, drug cases, Title IX violations, and issues involving the Texas Medical Board and various other licensing agencies. Shelly prides herself on outstanding negotiation and trial skills, superior case results and a high degree of client satisfaction. She maintains excellent working relationships with prosecutors, judges, law enforcement, and court staff in Travis County and surrounding areas and uses these relationships to her client’s advantage in the process of defending their cases.
Legal Career Beginnings
Shelly began her legal career working for the very prestigious criminal defense firm Goldstein, Goldstein, Hilley & Orr handling mostly white collar criminal defense and appellate cases. In an effort to hone her skills as a litigator, Shelly moved to Austin in 2007 to accept a job as a Travis County Prosecutor where she spent several years prosecuting and trying a wide variety of criminal cases. Her experience as a former prosecutor has been invaluable as a defense attorney as it gives her insight into the State’s approach and has allowed her to evaluate each case from the perspective of both sides. After leaving the Prosecutor’s office, Shelly returned to private practice where she could resume her passion for dealing directly with clients and help them resolve their unique and complex legal issues. In 2012, she joined forces with her longtime friend and colleague Blair Carroll and together they started the Carroll Troberman, PLLC as it exists today.
